Century Seals, Inc manufactures high reliability, hermetically sealed, micro-electronic packaging for aerospace, military, and commercial applications. We utilize brazing and glass-to-metal sealing technologies to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. We are AS9100 certified and ITAR registered.
 
This is an Engineering Management position that will require prior experience. The Engineering Manager is responsible for the entire engineering department, including engineers, manufacturing processes throughout the facility, order/quote/design reviews, drafting AS9100 compliant procedures and work instructions, disposition of non-conforming material, and Document Control.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete oversight of Engineering Department
  • Perform technical guidance, performance reviews, and mentorship to engineering personnel
  • Monitors, maintains and surpasses company KPI’s
  • Lead Engineering team on diverse projects including product/process development, capital expenditures and continuous improvement
  • Interface with Customers/Vendors as directed by the Sales, Quality, and Procurement departments
  • Monitor and improve CSI manufacturing process
  • Disposition of non-conforming material per industry and customer specifications.
  • Order/Quote processing by creating detailed drawings, fixturing, and process routing
  • Maintain Engineering Documentation, including drawings, procedures, routing, and work instructions.
  • Support internal/external audits including preparation, execution, and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Participating in and provide valuable insight during Company Meetings including Staff, Continuous Improvement, and Management Review
  • As Directed by General Manager
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years hermetic seals experience (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field (Equivalent work experience may satisfy this requirement)
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office and 2D AutoCAD software
  • Understanding of belt furnaces, fixture design, stamping/coining/machining, welding, electroplating and/or hermetic sealing techniques
  • Previous experience with ERP/MRP software preferred.
  • Familiarity AS9100/ISO9001, Jedec 9, MIL-STD-883 and/or MIL-PRF-38534 standards
  • Time and prioritization management

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday
Travel: 10%
